The Young Men’s Association (YMCA), Bhubaneswar is a registries organisation under societies Act 1860 and working for the youth, women and children and poorest of the poor of the society. Our programs and projects are especially for the welfare of the neglected sections of our society .We also work for the protection of environment and spreading of peace and harmony in the society. We work with youth through skill training, youth seminars, sports, games and fitness programs .We focus on development body, mind and spirit of every individual members irrespective of caste, creed, colour and religion through our various programs. Our aim is to building up youth as good citizens of our country India.

Mothers Day:

On 12th May-2024 YMCA observed Mother’s day at Saliasahi program centre, Bhubaneswar. In this program more than 100 women participated. This program was organized just to express love, respect and gratitude to mothers. The society will never be society without Mothers’. The contribution and sacrifice that Mothers are doing for the family are not to be fathomed.

World Environment Day

On 5th June-2024 YMCA observed World Environment day. The theme of the world environment day was “Our land, our future”. On this day a formal environment day meeting was organized in the YMCA conference hall and a mega plantation program organized at Saliasahi in the YMCA community centre premises. Mr. Ashim Das, Vice-President supervised the plantation program. The program was highly appreciated by the Regional Secretary and the Regional Chairman of eastern region of YMCAs.

YMCA founders day observed on 6th June-25

On 6th June-2024 YMCA Bhubaneswar observed YMCA founder day. On this day 6th June 1844 YMCA was started by Sir George William and speedily became a global movement because of its youth focused services and social relevance. The YMCA Bhubaneswar observed this great day by organizing a seminar for the young members and in this conference more than 100 youth participated. Dr. Purnananda Pradhan, President welcomed young members & shared about the glorious history of YMCA and its achievements in transforming lives of youth and the meeting closed with song by YMCA youth and prayer by Mr. Ashim Das. Vice-President, YMCA Bhubaneswar.

Observation of Gandhi Jayanti:

YMCA Bhubaneswar observed the Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October-2024. There was seminar organized at 10 a.m in the YMCA conference hall. The life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi was discussed. The great values of Gandhi ji Peace and non -violence how it is now no more found among the people. The youth those who attended the seminar decided to follow path of peace and non-violence and spread the message of peace and non-violence in the society.

International peace day

On 21st September YMCA observed International peace day at 11 a.m on this occasion YMCA organised a peace rally to spread the message of Peace & Harmony in the society. More than one hundred youth participated in this rally.

YMCA founder day

On 6th June-2022 at 11 am YMCA Bhubaneswar organised YMCA founder day. The program was held in the YMCA conference hall. Mr. Antony Mathew, Hony-Treasurer of YMCA Bhubaneswar was the chief speakers of the program. In this program at least young members were present.
